Lance Unglesby started his career as a public defender in New Orleans right after Hurricane Katrina. The office was decimated after Katrina, and at the time, the New Orleans Police Department was known for its corruption.

 

The public defenders’ office was in dire need of top trial lawyers and, just as important, someone who was willing to bring awareness to and fight the corrupted system.
